H&Co.'s First Gentlemen's Evening

H&Co.'s First Gentlemen's Evening

On 11.16.16 just over a hundred dapper Vancouver men, attended Haberdasher & Co.'s first Gentlemen's Evening, and they all showed up dressed like gentlemen. It was extraordinary! Some were friends and clients and some we hadn't met before, but had the pleasure of meeting.

Jacob Sweetapple of Albsolut Elyx welcomed guests with Absolut Elyx cocktails and martinis. While Keith Trusler of The Glenlivet poured up a generous selection of Scotches.

Our friends Lachlan & Emily Photography and Mitch Platt from the Quick Cobbler provided the gentlemen Headshots and Shoe Shines, by donation with all proceeds going to Mission Possible. We also sold raffle tickets for a free Suit from Haberdasher & Co.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone in attendance, we were able to raise just over $1100 for Mission Possible!

Thanks to our friends at Di Morelli for all the generous skincare samples they provided to our guests at the event. And have also provided for our in-store clients...ask us how you can get yours!

The amazing Gentlemen at Wolf Clothing Co. setup shop and sold their socks and accessories. For every pair of socks sold between Nov 16th and Christmas, they are donating a pair to our friends at Mission Possible! That is amazing fellows, thank you!  Please consider supporting them when your purchasing socks for yourself or as a gift this holiday season.

GentStone also setup shop with their beautiful handmade gentlemen's bracelets helped our guests find the perfect one for their style. Thank you for your beautiful gentlemen accessories!

And of course our dear friends at Goorin Bros. were there, helping the gents find the perfect hat and fit, because every fellow needs a nice hat.

And last but certainly not least, the talented and dapper Prevail, entertained the crowd with his spoken word poem of Pandora's Box.

Gentlemen's Evening 11.16.16

Gentlemen's Evening 11.16.16

Haberdasher & Co is thrilled to be partnered with Absolut Elyx & The Glenlivet to bring you an exclusive evening of Gentlemanly libations, food, fashion and revelry.

In the early Spring I attended a networking event at the Donnelly Hospitality Suite (above Blackbird),  and the moment I stepped into the room, I knew that I needed to host a Gentlemen's event in this magnificently manly space. Now six months later and a huge thanks to our friends at Absolut Elyx & The Glenlivet, we're doing it!
It's been my goal to make the evening fun, interactive, informative, collaborative, as well as an opportunity to give back. So we've teamed up with a couple of our favourite Gentlemanly Spirit brands and a few of our favourite local businesses that also cater to men and created a unique Gentlemen's Evening for you to enjoy.
Here's what you can expect!
The dapper, Jacob Sweetapple, Absolut Elyx Brand Ambassdor & Ketih Trusler, The Gelnlivet Brand Ambassador will be pouring up tasty libations. As well as providing some amazing door prizes. So don't forget your business cards!
Blackbird will be providing snacks through out the evening.
Haberdasher & Co. will be doing a Holiday Fashion preview to give ideas on what to wear to those upcoming Christmas Parties. We'll also have a collection of in-stock suits and sport coats for you to try on and purchase for up to 40% off!
And be sure to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to WIN a Suit, valued at $800!
Giving back to our community raises all of us.
When I moved to Vancouver 12 years ago, I was in a major transition in my life and it was a struggle, but I have been lucky enough to have created a beautiful life for myself since.
Majority of the time that I've lived here, I lived in an area that requires me to take a bus through the lower east side, to get to work. Twice a day, everyday, I would go through my worst nightmare and couldn't help but think that at any moment, that could be me.
Instead of dwelling on that possibility, I've used it as a catalyst to work hard and push myself through whatever demons or challenges I was working through, so that I could be in a position to help people struggling in the DTES.
A couple of years ago, a friend of mine introduced me to an extraordinary organization, called Mission Possible. After meeting the incredible people that run it, I realized that they are doing the work that is making a difference in this community. So I have made it my personal mandate to help them in anyway I can. This is their Mission Statement.

People ~ Purpose ~ Paycheque

Mission Possible is a Christian humanitarian agency that transforms lives by helping those challenged by homelessness and poverty achieve a renewed sense of dignity and purpose through meaningful work.

How can you help? At the event, we are providing you an opportunity to get your shoes shined, your hair cut cleaned up and your head shots updated, all by donation! What?! That's amazing!!

100% of the money raised will be donated to Mission Possible.

So, we invite you to take advantage of all these great services that are being donated, and be as generous as you can!
